Master of Puppets és el tercer àlbum d'estudi del grup musical de thrash metall nord-americà Metallica. Va ser llançat al mercat el 3 de març de 1986, sota el segell d'Elektra Records . L'àlbum va ser el primer disc d'or de la banda després de vendre 500.000 còpies als Estats Units, encara que després superaria les 6 milions.
Master of Puppets és l'últim àlbum de Metallica en què participa el baixista Cliff Burton, que moriria en un tràgic accident d'autobús mesos després del llançament del disc. Aquest va rebre crítiques molt favorables i és considerat un clàssic del thrash metall en general. És considerat una de les majors influències del thrash metall de tots els temps. El solo de guitarra de la cançó Master of Puppets va ser considerat un dels cent millors, segons un exemplar de la revista Guitar World del 2015.
